Fourteen days from this Sunday I'll be lacing up and heading out.
Mission: 26.2 miles in 2 hours or less.
I am ready. I have only skated once this week so far but I'll get out on Sunday for a while. Next week I need to skate four times and then take two days off before the race. Stretching, resting and eating will be key.
I enjoy the mental preparation, as long as the body is ready, mental prep is fun! I love to visualize skating along, pumping the legs, sweating hard, smiling and skating, and crossing the finish line, waiting for my results, seeing my time posted under the 2 hour mark.
