Favorite Easter Hymn

For as long as I can remember, all the way back to the days of sitting in the pews at St. Bridgets Catholic Church in Lindstrom Minnesota, my absolutey favorite Easter hymn is Christ the Lord is Risen Today. I especially like it with a good solid trumphet blaring through it. To me it is one of the greatest Christian victory calls, the entire Christian faith depends on the fact of the ressurection of Jesus.

Jesus Christ is risen today, Alleluia!
our triumphant holy day, Alleluia!
who did once upon the cross, Alleluia!
suffer to redeem our loss. Alleluia!

Hymns of praise then let us sing, Alleluia!
unto Christ, our heavenly King, Alleluia!
who endured the cross and grave, Alleluia!
sinners to redeem and save. Alleluia!

But the pains which he endured, Alleluia!
our salvation have procured, Alleluia!
now above the sky he's King, Alleluia!
where the angels ever sing. Alleluia!
